Arizona Fall League Baseball

Posted by Chris H. on November 21, 2008

baseballWhile Major League Baseball is in hibernation for a few months, the top prospects from the minor leagues continue to play in and fall and winter leagues in places like Florida, Hawaii and Arizona.  Yesterday was the last day of the regular season for the Arizona Fall League.  Here, Kevin Frandsen of the Scottsdale Scorpions bunts with catcher Lou Marson of the Mesa Solar Sox behind the plate.  The Scorpions won in 10 innings, but the Solar Sox had already wrapped up their spot in the league championship to be played tomorrow.  It’s great to be at the ballpark watching these amazing athletes – some of whom will go on to be MLB all stars – with maybe 200 or 300 diehard fans in attendance.
