On a NASCAR race weekend, Avondale, population 80,000, is rumored to become the fourth largest city in Arizona.  An influx of more than 150,000 race fans descends on the Phoenix International Raceway for three days of ear-splitting racing.  Here, three diehards arrive at the track early and take their seats in a nearly empty grandstand.
