Storms – Arizona Landscape Photographer

Posted by Chris H. on September 9, 2009

I inadvertently got myself embroiled in controversy yesterday, about which I felt bad and after which I needed to clear my head. Fortunately, the waning monsoon season produced a spectacular fireworks show last night, so I grabbed my camera and headed out into the storm. At the end of the evening I was alone in a very dark park on the edge of the desert when, out of the corner of my eye, I saw an animal racing toward me. A little freaked out, I shouted and shone my flashlight at it, but it would not be deterred. Finally, at the last minute, it veered away from me and only then did I realize that I had nearly been mauled by a plastic grocery bag. Anyway, the storms – in my head and in the sky – cleared and I returned home refreshed.

Hey…those plastic bags can be brutal! Watch yourself out there. And by the way, thanks for the email the other day. I loved the Proust quote. That’s exactly why I read. And I really appreciated your insight and kind words about my writing. It was very much appreciated. Thomas and I were just talking about you the other day saying that we need to go to dinner with you and your wife! When are we going to make that happen?
