Senator McCain was in town for a couple of days over the weekend to conduct town halls in Mesa and Goodyear. Here he answers questions from the audience and discusses the most recent Congressional ethics inquiry:

At the last minute, I was able to scrounge up a media credential to photograph the Bon Iver concert at the Mesa Arts Center last night. Great band, great venue. One of the nice things about photographing an up and coming indie band like this is the relative freedom they give photographers. The rule for photographers with more established acts generally is three songs and out. Last night, I was able to stay for the full set and the band’s publicist, Lucy Robinson, even graciously reserved a seat for me. I only sat in it for three songs, because I was wandering around shooting, but it was a very thoughtful gesture. Meet Justin Vernon, Mike Noyce, Sean Carey and Matthew McCaughan – Bon Iver. President Obama came to Phoenix yesterday to address the graduating class of 2009 at Arizona State University. I had planned to photograph the speech and the commencement ceremony, which was being held in front of an audience of 71,000 at Sun Devil Stadium, but after seeing the completely useless set-up that ASU had constructed for the media, I decided to bolt for the airport to catch the arrival of Air Force One instead. Here is the President, disembarking from the plane:
I don’t care how jaded you are, seeing Air Force One up close and personal is a thrill.

Just before the plane arrived, the motorcade showed up, led by the Presidential limo, which the Secret Service calls the Beast.
