A while ago I had an idea about a water image I wanted to make, but either the weather hasn’t cooperated or I have been too busy to set it up.  Recently, however, I got a call from a friend who needed a couple of swimsuit shots for the agency that represents her.  After we got the shots she needed, she agreed to indulge me for a few minutes.  Here are a couple of the resulting images:

Had a fun three-day shoot last week for a client who was looking to spruce up their marketing materials and website with images that illustrate the Arizona lifestyle.  We shot at beautiful locations around Phoenix, including Papago Park, a private residence in Paradise Valley, and the golf course adjacent to the Biltmore Resort.  I think everyone was a little nervous about the heat, but the weather for all three days was spectacular – more like spring than the inferno of summer.  Our team consisted of a fabulous group of models as well as Heather Wilson, a superstar make-up artist, and Patrick Tipton, a great photographer who kindly agreed to help out on the shoot.

I had seen a couple of snapshots of my friend Kalynne on horseback, so I asked if she might be game for a ranch themed shoot, which she was.  It turns out that her Grandpa Bruce is an expert horseman, so he accompanied us out to a nearby arena both to help with the horses and to be a subject for some of the photographs.  Kalynne is a trooper – up for anything – and her Grandpa is just a great guy.  In fact, the shoot would have been a success if all I had come away with was Bruce’s acquaintance. As it turns out, we got some fun shots both of Kalynne by herself and with her Grandpa Bruce.
