I recently discovered a couple of cool, grittier locations not far from where I live and was looking for an excuse to use them in a shoot. Fortunately, Lisa had an opening in her schedule. We had a fun couple of hours traipsing around train tracks and old factories. These are two of the images from that shoot.

In Tucson, on the University of Arizona campus, the bicycle appears to be the wheeled vehicle of choice. Bikes seem to outnumber cars by at least an order of magnitude.

I love my job. I spent about two and a half hours yesterday shooting another series of Christmas images, this time with Tiffany, who was a delight to work with. She brought along her Mom, Annette, who is just about to retire after 28 years in the military. Great people with whom to spend part of a day.

Had a productive and fun Christmas themed stock shoot during which we got some great close-ups of the lovely Phuong.

After three fun, but hectic, hours of shooting a huge range of stock images, it’s amazing that Lisa could summon up the tranquility for a shot like this. But, there it is. Like she just walked out of a zen monastery.

I shot between 800 and 1,000 images of Michelle yesterday. Formal wear, stock shots against a white seamless background, more stock in the kitchen and living room, some goofy shots of Michelle wearing an outrageous polka dot dress and an Ariel wig. She’s an actress, completely at ease in front of a camera, so she was a joy to shoot.
At the end of a long afternoon shooting commercial images or stuff that she can use to get work, we made a couple of more unconventional portraits, of which this is one.
