My path to becoming a photographer has been a circuitous one. After graduating from Dartmouth College, I worked as an English teacher in Tokyo, an investment banker on Wall Street, and a screenwriter in Los Angeles before starting my photography career.

I am now based in Orange County, California and specialize in portrait,  event, corporate, editorial and lifestyle photography.

My institutional clients have ranged from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies and include Newt 2012 – the Newt Gingrich Presidential campaign – as well as corporations like Microsoft, Walmart, EDS, Arizona State University, BP, USAA, Oakville Grocery, UltraStar Cinemas, Georgia Jet Aviation, Clave  Publicidad in Spain and Youville communauté créative in Montreal.

Events I have photographed include corporate sales meetings, charity galas, fashion shows, professional sports, political events, concerts, and movie premieres, as well as family events like weddings and reunions.

My editorial images have been published by National Geographic, the Encyclopedia Britannica, the Los Angeles Times, the Washington Times, the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and many other publications around the world.

I love being a photographer. I love the challenge of making an inspiring or informative image. I feel privileged to be given a uniquely personal insight into the lives of the people I photograph and to know and work among so many talented and creative professionals.
